Peter Voss is a pioneering figure in Artificial Intelligence, best known for coining the term “AGI” (Artificial General Intelligence) in 2001 alongside other AI experts.

As an engineer, scientist, inventor, and serial AI entrepreneur, Peter has led numerous successful ventures in the field. His career began in electronics engineering, but he soon developed a passion for software development.

Peter’s first major achievement came with the creation of a comprehensive ERP software package. This success helped take his company from a startup to a 400-person organization, culminating in an IPO within just seven years.

Driven by the limitations of software, Peter began a two-decade-long exploration into the nature of intelligence—how it develops in humans, the current state of AI, and how to advance it. His efforts led to the successful commercialization of SmartAction, an early AI product.

This research, development, and commercialization journey ultimately led to the creation of “Aigo”—a proto-AGI natural language intelligence engine that can think, learn, reason, and evolve with its users.
